Terms and Conditions

All applicants must consent to be bound by all terms and conditions below.

If an applicant does not agree to the terms and conditions, he/she should not proceed with the submission.

Policy on Multiple Submissions

The Board of Jurors will not accept any paper which, at the time of submission, is under review for or has already been published or accepted for publication in a journal or a conference. Authors are also expected not to submit their papers elsewhere during Board's review period.

These restrictions apply only to journals and conferences, not to workshops and similar specialized presentations with a limited audience.

Currency Conversion Rate

The official U$ currency conversion rate for the Prizes is fixed at 0.81 EUR/1 U$.

APAL Article Publication

If an article is chosen among best twenty, the applicant agrees to submit the final version of that article to the APAL for purpose of publication, and he/she also agrees to do so before the second electronic Jury meeting and in accordance with the timeline, yet to be published.

Admission of Legal Appeal

All applicants acknowledge and accept that the decision of the Board of Jury and of the Advisory Board will be final and with NO admission of legal appeal.

Further terms and conditions:

  • During the second electronic Board of Jury meeting, candidates will have to be available to answer the questions of the Jury, if any.
  • If awarded a fellowship, candidates agree to submit at the time of the fellowship award, a one-page project summary statement suitable for circulation or publication in appropriate publications of the John Templeton Foundation or media. This statement should include primary purpose of the fellowship award, major activities of the project, target audience (if applicable) and the expected outcome or objective.
  • Also, a one-page, revised and updated conclusion summary must be submitted with the final narrative and financial report. This concluding summary should briefly describe the final outcome of the project in such a way that will be understood by the broad audience.

Excluded Groups and Individuals

Due to their duties in conjunction with the Fellowships' Program, the following groups and individuals are explicitly excluded from the application process:

  • The Executive Board of the Kurt Goedel Society
  • The Advisory Board of the Fellowships' Program
  • The Board of Jury of the Fellowships' Program
  • Franziska Gusel
  • Norbert Preining
  • Vesna Sabljakovic-Fritz and
  • Andrei Voronkov
